Social science inquiry model
Step 1 - questions (APS, measurable/testable)
Step 2 - Focus (previous knowledge and research done)
Step 3 - hypothesis (proven right/wrong, possible answer)
Step 4 - collect data (surveys, interviews, questionnaires, interviews, observations)
Step 5 - assemble + analyze data (charts, graphs, tables)
Step 6 - stop and check (enough data? No, go step 4)
Step 7 - present results (conclusions, limitations, recs for future)
Step 8 - reflections (evaluate results, what went well? What didn’t? Do differently in future?)
Data methods for anthropology
Questionnaires, interviews, participant observation, historical docus
Data methods for socio
Questionnaires, surveys, historical analysis, participant observation, experiment research
Data methods for Psych
Conducting experiments determining is x causes y, surveys, questionnaires, interviews.
Case studies
Observation of an individuals, situation or group over a period of time
