- science can always change: pseudoscience can never change
- ad hoc immunising hypotheses are used a lot
- pseudoscience can exaggerate claims
- pseudoscience is anecdotal
- is unreviewable/ have a lack of review from scholars (also not replicable or tested)
- lack of self correction
- meaningless uses fancy scientific sounding terms that do not make sense
- talk of ‘proof instead of evidence’
- never clear up any rival hypothesis
how to apply pseudoscience to a case or reading and to determine if it is real or pseudoscience?
