It is the study of history and culture around the world , involves numerous techniques for finding, excavating, dating and analyzing material remains of past societies
Linguistic anthropology
The study of languages (Accents, slangs different language variations) to shape cross-cultural interactions.
Ethnology
Immersing yourself in a culture for months, years, and studying the culture on customs, kinship, economics, religion, art, music and technology

* just observing isn’t enough because you have to emerge yourself in their culture by participating
