Thigh - long bone between hip and knee
Tarsus
Ankle - 7 ankle bones (cuneiform, navicular, cuboid, talus, calcaneus) and proximal part of the foot. Articulates distally with metatarsals and proximally with tibia and fibia
Hypoglossal
Under tongue - cranial nerve supplying tongue muscles (talking and swallowing)
Psoas
Loins - groin muscle
Inguinal
Groin - relating to or affecting the groin
Fibula
Pin - long, thin outer bone of the lower leg, articulating with the tibia and one side of the talus (ankle bone)
Cuneiform
Wedge - 3 ankle bones in the tarsus
Navicular
Boat - boat shaped bone of the tarsus, articulating with 3 cuneiform bones and talus
Digastric
2 bellies - facial nerve with anterior and posterior bellies (2 bellies=muscles supplied by nerve)
Hamate
Hooked - hook shaped wrist (carpus) bone
Vagus
Wandering - cranial nerve from the brainstem to transverse colon
Lambda
Greek symbol - join of sagittal and lambdoidal sutures in the skull
Caesum
Blind ending - blind ended pouch between small and large intestines
Cornu
Horn - horn shaped structure
Mitral
Mitre - heart valve with two flaps (cusps) attached to walls of the opening between left atrium and left ventricle
Sternocleidomastoid
Muscle articulated to the sternum, clavicle and mastoid process
Cricothyroid
Muscle articulated to cricoid cartilage and thyroid cartilage
Geniohyoid
Muscle articulated to the mandible gene and hyped bone
Genu

Flexor carping radialis
Flexor muscle in the forearm on the radial side of the wrist
Extensor digitorum
Extension of fingers - forearm muscle
Massetes
Chewer - muscle that closes the jaw
Trochlea
Pulley - structure with pulley function e.g. elbow
Condyloid
Knuckle - joint with ovoid and elliptical cavity
