Q

What is the difference between eukaryotes and prokaryotes? Explain with respect to DNA

A

Prokaryotes lack membrane bound organelles, which eukaryotes have. Their genetic information remains suspended within the cell as DNA instead of being enclosed within a membrane such as the nuclear envelope.

Q

Whole organism models used include:

What do we introduce into them

A

Rat, mice, fruitfly, plants, sea urchin and nematode (worms). We can introduce mutations into the organism to observe the effect elicited by the gene.
