Q

conclusion

A
  • To conclude, the play Macbeth written by William Shakespeare contains a character who deals with guilt, which is made evidently clear from the beginning of the play to be the main theme.
  • Shakespeare achieves this by giving Macbeth specific characteristics which sets him up to feel deep regret.
  • After his murder spree he feels strong emotions of remorse which leads him to hallucinate.
  • Shakespeare further connects Macbeth to the play’s theme as it causes him to finally come to his senses and understand his failure and the part he played in his own downfall which leads him to no longer care about life. These all highlight the important theme of guilt
