Define IV
Independent variable
It is the variable that the experiment is based on, if the IV changes, the DV will change
Define DV
Dependant variable
It is the outcome that changes due to a change in the IV
Define EV
Extraneous variables
Variable that may influence the outcome of the experiment (DV) in a negative way
Define population
The wider group of people you are studying or researching.

A subgroup of the population that represents the population

A person taking part in the study

Debriefing - clarifying understanding of study after it has been conducted
