sinus tachycardia
refers to a faster-than-usual heart rhythm. Your heart has a natural pacemaker called the sinus node, which generates electrical impulses that move through your heart muscle and cause it to contract, or beat.
When these electrical impulses are transmitted normally, it’s referred to as normal sinus rhythm. Normal sinus rhythm typically results in a heart rate of 60 to 100 beats per minute.
Sometimes, these electrical impulses are sent out faster than normal, causing sinus tachycardia, which often results in a heart rate of over 100 beats per minute.
Usually a physiologic response to hypovolemis, inflammation, pain
prednisone
Prednisone is a corticosteroid. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. It also suppresses the immune system.
Prednisone is used as an anti-inflammatory or an immunosuppressant medication. Prednisone treats many different conditions such as allergic disorders, skin conditions, ulcerative colitis, arthritis, lupus, psoriasis, or breathing disorders.
dermatome
A dermatome is the area of the skin of the human anatomy that is mainly supplied by branches of a single spinal sensory nerve root. These spinal sensory nerves enter the nerve root at the spinal cord, and their branches reach to the periphery of the body.
