What are the 5 anatomical planes?

A

Frontal/coronal - divides anterior and posterior portions
Median/midsagittal - divides the body into 2 approx. halves, doens’t move
Parasagittal - moves away from the midsagittal plane (medial, lateral)
Transverse/horizontal - divides upper and lower parts
Oblique - any angle that slopes
