Intro Flashcards
Where does IV sulcus lie?
Path of IV septum
Where does AV sulcus lie?
Between both atria and ventricles
Which sulcus contains Cx, RCA and coronary sinus?
AV sulcus
Which sulcus contains LAD, great cardiac vein, PDA and middle cardiac vein?
IV sulcus
What are the 2 branches of the left main coronary artery?
LAD and Cx
In the LV, the RCA supplies which region?
Posterior medial
In the LV, LAD and Cx supply which region?
Anterior lateral
Heart wall layers
Endocardium
Myocardium
Epidardium (Visceral pericardium)
Layers of pericardium
Fibrous and serous.
Serous has 2 layers: parietal (stuck to fibrous) and visceral (epicardium).
There is fluid between the 2 serous layers.
Normal amount of pericardial fluid
20-50mL
4 features that differentiate the RV from the LV
1) Moderator band and trabeculated walls
2) 3 papillary muscles instead of 2
3) Tri-leaflet valve instead of bi-leaflet (The TV is always connected to the RV)
4) Apical displacement of the tricuspid valve compared to mitral valve
AV leaflets
RCC, LCC, NCC
MV leaflets
Anterior
Posterior
How are MV leafets numbered?
Lateral to medial
TV leaflets

Posterior
