How do you set the rate of delivery for an infusion pump?
A
Rate of delivery = mL/h
Worked example:
Rate of isosorbide dinitrate infusion = 2.5mg/h
Concentration of infusing solution = 0.1% = 0.1g per 100 ml = 100mg per 100ml = 1mg/ml
Rate of delivery in mL/h to give 2.5mg/h = 2.5/1 = 2.g mL/h
