Intial T/o Climb Flashcards

1
Q

NADP is not advisable when

A

The r/y surface is contaminated
Horizontal visibility is less than 1.9km (1nm)
The crosswind component including gusts exceeds 15kts
Wind-shear has been reported
Ts are expected to effect the aprch or dep
The a/c has suffered an eng failure and system failure

2
Q

2 different NADP

A

1 - noise sensitive area is close to r/y

2 - noise sensitive area is distant from the dep end of the r/y

Q

NADP 1

A

Starts at screen height

After SH V2 + 10kts and TOGA till around 800ft

Maintain V2 + 10kts till 3000ft, nose is pitched down and a/c accelerates while maintaining a positive roc

After 3000ft - flaps retracted and accelerate to cruise

Q

NADP 2

A

Starts at SH

From SH to 800ft, V2 + 10 and TOGA

From 800ft, push nose down and accelerate while retracting the flaps, still on TOGA

On reaching Vzf, reduce to MCT and increase ROC to cruise

NTOFP

A

Assumes engine failure at V1

4 segments - all based on 1 eng inop

All figures are gross

6
Q

NTOFP segments

A

Seg 1 - getting the gear up to SH (15ft or 35ft), on TOGA thrust min speed = Vlof

Seg 2 - all about climbing to clear obstacles, up to a min 400ft, on TOGA thrust, min speed = V2

Seg 3 - has variable height depending on acceleration and height covered in 10mins, flaps are retracted till Vzf, nose is lowered to gain acceleration, on TOGA thrust, will reach Vmd ish by the end

Seg 4 - MCT to 1500ft, bigger roc

Q

NTOFP - max dep sector width with no req track change

A

300m - if the pilot is able to maintain nav accuracy through the obstacle accountability area

600m - for flights under all other conditions

17
Q

NTOFP - max dep sector width with a req track change

A

If the req flight path track change is more than 15*

600m - if the pilot is able to maintain the req nav accuracy through the obstacle accountability area

Or

900m - for all flights under other conditions
