Why do you want to become a lifeguard?
I’ve got a passion for swimming and helping others
And ive got a drive to gain experience in a job that requires this level of responsibility
What skills do you have that make you a good lifeguard?
Teamwork, communication, quick decision making, staying calm under pressure
How would friends/ previous teammates describe you?
They would say that I’m reliable, hardworking and good at keeping calm in stressful situations. I like to think I’m someone that people can trust and depend on, especially in a role like this where teamwork is crucial.
How do you keep the pool area safe when on duty?
Constant scanning, enforcing rules, and being proactive to prevent incidents
What would you do if a child runs on poolside despite being warmed?
Calmly remind them that running poolside is dangerously and say why (slip -> serious injury).
If they continue, inform their guardian and make sure that they also understand the importance of following this rule

Tell us a bit about yourself
I am a student currently studying at Biddulph High School and I enjoy the sciences particularly biology as well as both the theory and physical sides of GCSE PE. Outside of school I play for a local football team which has taught me how to work in a team etc.
