How is the Interview structured
- short intorductuion who are u inteviewing and why/ underwhat circummstance
- be aware of the interviews aim
- in the beginning you shoukd ask generall questions later on go into detail
- sum up and thank the interviwee
what is important
- Keep a constant eye at the aim of your interview !
- Your questions must be clear and aim at a certain point you want to know !
- Questions should be general at first and specific and to the point the further you get in the interview !
- Use different types of questions !
- Avoid yes/no questions. If you use one, go into detail with e.g. a boomerang question
Alternative-question
“Do you prefer method A or B?”
Boomerang-question
Asks for exact information; requires a specification of what is said
- “In what way does this effect other people?”
Intervening question
The interviewer utters criticism or concerns with a question
- “What exactly does this mean for people of lower classes?”
Isolation-question
The interviewer tries to request specific information
- “What are the most important consequences/ biggest disadvantages?”
Summarizing question
The interviewer demands a conclusion from the interviewee
- “In a nutshell, how do you assess these consequences?”
Differentiating question
The interviewer asks for differences
- “What are the differences between A and B?”
