Melodic = Notes played one at a time
Harmonic = Notes played at same time

There are perfect and imperfect intervals.

Perfect:
   Unison (2 of the same note)
   A 4th
   A 5th
   An Octave

Imperfect:
   2nd
   3rd
   6th
   7th
