International Regimes
sets of implicit and explicit principles, norms, rules, and decision-making procedures around which actors’ expectations converge in a given area of IR
International Norms
ideas that govern that procedural or substantive terms of state behavior, such as reciprocity and human rights
International Organizations
a formal organization with members from three or more states that pursues a specific set of goals
Intergovernmental Organizations
members are states represented by their governments, established by intergovernmental agreement
Nongovernmental Organizations
members are individuals, group, or associations; do not officially represent governments
