Ensures permit is obtained in trade of less endangered species

Local scheme. Introduced in 1991
Grants to farmers and landowners to increase biodiversity, restore landscapes and increase public access to countryside
Environmental Stewardship Schemes
Replaced the CSS in 2005
Care of wildlife species and habitat
Ensures land is well managed
Crop conservation and use of traditional livestock
