What is the brain protected by?

A

The brain is protected by the cranium, which shields it from mechanical/physical damage. It is also protected by 3 membranes called meninges, meninges protects the brain from bacteria and toxins. There is fluid inside the meninges that support the brain and acts as a shock absorber.
