acknowledges both biological and psychological factors in schizophrenia so its compatible with both biological and psychological treatments
-for example combining antipsychotic medication and psychological therapies most commonly CBT.

argued that its perfectly possible to believe in biological causes of schiz and still practice psychological symptoms.
however this involves adopting interactionist model. both bio + psych treatment being considered even though cause thought to be nature.
