false imprisonment: knowledge
you have to know the person is locked in there, because this is an intentional tort
consent defense
only works if a reasonable person thinks she might be forcibly detained if she does not cooperate.
battery
intentional act that causes a harmful or offensive contact with the plaintiff or with something closely connected thereto.
physical harm is not necessary, only offensive contact. ex: ripping someone’s pocket, even if they do not notice at the time, is considered something a reasonable person would consider offensive
wrongful inst. of civil proceedings
(1) he acts without basis and primarily for a purpose other than that of securing the proper adjudication of the claim on which the proceedings are based; and (2) except when they are ex parte, the proceedings have terminated in favor of the person that was wrongfully sued
