  1. Organic fertilisers
    - doesn’t work as well as artificial fertilisers but recycle nutrients left in plant and animal waste.
    - Better for environment
  2. Crop rotation
    - crowing different crops each year
    (Stops pests and diseases)
    - stops nutrient running out
  3. Weeding
    - removing weeds by hand rather than spraying chemicals
  4. Varying seed planting times
    - planting seeds before or after a season avoid major pests
    - no pesticides needed
  5. Biological control
    - use predators to naturally kill pests
