  1. Biologically-based
    - can be taken or applied e.g. oils, herbal supplements, oils
  2. Mind-body medicine
    - Changes mental/emotional state to induce physiological change e.g. meditation, hypnosis, reflexology
  3. Manipulative practices
    - Physical manipulation e.g. chiropractors, massage, acupuncture, osteopathy
  4. Energy medicine
    - Changing energies within an individual e.g. chakras, reiki, biofield, bioenergetic therapy
