- contained all must know info, covered lesson in suitable depth, would lesson have taught subject?
Where do students fall down in classroom lesson?
Effective: don’t cover all must know info by giving too much of an overview or expecting too much knowledge from students
Accurate: lack of knowledge of the instructor

What is on site supervision?
Supervising instructor must be present at the venue - they will brief the instructor as assist them to prepare for lesson and will debrief afterwards
What is direct supervision?
Instruction is continuously monitored by supervising instructor, who must be positioned where they can intervene in the lesson if needed (must be in water)
How can you deal with nerves in the classroom lesson?
Be prepared Learn first few lines of presentation Use visual aids to distract from self Use prepared notes Rehearse Be relaxed
How can you deal with distractions in the classroom lesson?
Visual - in teaching environment, instructor’s dress, hand-outs, visual aids (hide, use, hide)

Give 1 minute of RB
If no breathing returns, EITHER tow victim to shore without further RB OR continue on spot with 10 RB/min until support arrives
