44 juvenile thieves with a group of non thieves who suffered similar emotional problems
What did 32% of the thieves exhibit?
Affectionless psychopathy, unable to show affection for others
What does Bowlby argue the findings may be due to?
Because 86% of affectionless psychopaths had experience maternal separation
What did Tizard and Hodges study?
Children placed into institutional care in first 4 months of their lives
How were the children private? (Tizard and Hodges)
They never formed attachments with their mothers or anyone else
What was the control group for Tizard and hodges?
Group who were raised in their own homes
What happened with children who remained in institutions?(Tizard and hodges)
They had no strong attachments and had problems with peers
