What should you do before an inspection?
Verify equipment is to a suitable standard
I.e BS 7671
Ensure no equipment is visibly damaged
What is prospective fault current?
Is it the measuring of the maximum fault current that could occur within the installation with minimal impedence down to earth. Ensuring all protective devices are selected to the correct breaking capacity
Where are the measurements taken from?
They are taken from the PEFC and the PSCC and the highest result is recorded
Where is the short circuit capacity taken from?
Between the line conductors
Where is the earth fault current take from?
Between the line conductors and with the highest value being recorded
What does GS38 say about leads and probes
Guards needed to avoid slipping down
No more than 2mm of exposed tip
Two cables to be different colours
Long enough cable to complete task
Appropriately fused leads
