A

Number of transactions are stored up (transaction)
…. Until a specific number collected or a specific time is reached
All transactions processed together
… Go through same process
Transactions may be sorted prior to processing
Same output e.g. electricity Bill
Transactions are achieved (master file)

What is Real Time Processing

A

Process every transaction as it happens
Each process is affected by previous processes e.g. if 2 cinema tickets are sold, the seats become unavailable.
Full processing must be completed otherwise whole transaction is cancelled or rolled back

A

Domain Name Server
Provided by ISP
-User types URL into browser
- Passes URL to ISP DNS server
-DNS searches its database
… If finds URL, then it gets the matched IP address
… If not found, it updates itself from TLD DNS server
Then passes IP address to browser
Browser connects web server at IP address
