A
- injured athletes need to know their coaches & teammates care
- need to feel confident that people will listen to their concerns
- learn how other athletes recovered from similar injuries
- help is often available immediately after injury but not during later stages of recovery
- particularly important during slow progress, after setbacks, or when situations place additional demand on the athlete.

A

- therefore the probability of injury increases
