-The location of a gene on the chromosome
-A single chromosome will have many different gene loci

A
-Approximately same size
-have the same banding pattern
-Have the same gene on the corresponding loci

A
-Between alleles of the same gene, one is usually stronger than the other

Dominant alleles
A
-You only need one dominant allele to express that trait

Recessive alleles
A
-Only expressed if both chromosomes carry that allele
-Need 2 recessive alleles to express that trait.
