Infrastructure Monitoring Flashcards
What are key host configurations?
Host naming config rules: settings=> Host Naming
Excluding traffic: (host) => settings => Exclude Network traffic => add exclusion
Monitoring mode: Full stack monitoring can be enabled to detect code-level changes
Anomaly detection:
When is OSI_Unexpectedly_Unavailable problem triggered?
When the host is ungracefully shut down.
If the host was powered off gracefully Dynatrace will not register a problem but this behavior can be changed.
What are Log processing rules?
Dynatrace Log Management and Analytics can reshape incoming log data for better understanding, analysis, or further processing based on rules that you create.
A log processing rule consists of the following:

What happens when the network monitoring overhead(of oneagent) exceeds 5% CPU?
It pauses for 3min, if the problem persists then 6min until it reaches 45min
What is the added feature you get from the Cloud Infrastructure Monitoring mode license?
You can enable Full-Stack monitoring.
Where is Application-only monitoring preferred?
On PaaS services such as, OpenShift online, Azure App Services etc.
How can you enable Container Monitoring?
