What is informed consent?
A
Suppling the patient with the appropriate information, risks and benefits of treatment plans and the ability for them to ask questions.

Layout of informed consent
A
- Introduce your name and role.
- Ask the patient for 2x of identification.
- Explain what you will do.
- Ask if that’s okay.
- Confidentiality
- Make sure to let them know you can stop at any time.
- Finally ask them if they have any questions and thank them.
