What is the purpose of the information system?
A
The information system manages the datalink communication and provides the flight crew with information coming from the airline and from the Air Traffic Control (ATC).

What is the purpose of the Air Traffic Control Unit (ATSU)?
A
The ATSU manages the air-ground communication (SATCOM VHF data or HF data radio) exchange information between a/c operator and ATC displays information and warnings via MCDU and DCDU if installed.

What are the main components of the information system?
A
The information system consists mainly of an Air Traffic Service Unit (ATSU) two Data-link Control and Display Units (DCDU) located on the left and right center panels and two illuminated pushbuttons ATC MSG.
