What is an Input?
Performer takes information from enviroment/display (their senses) e.g watching a cricket ball flying through the air
What is selecive attention?
Picking out the most important parts of the display and discard what is not important
What is decision making?
Performer selects an appropirate response (movement/skill)
What is short term memory?
Info from the display is held in short term (30 sec) if attention directed to something else information lost
What is long term memory?
Hold info that has been rehersed in a past experience
What is an output?
Decision chosen is sent to the appropirate muscles to carry out the response e.g moving your hands and arms to get into the correct position to catch the ball
What is feedback?
feedback is recived intrinsically or extrinsiclly regarding succes or not
