cold - gradual onset, no fever, can continue with normal days
flu - abrupt onset, fever, muscle aches, lethargy

2 day delay between exposure and symptoms

dry cough
sore throat
coryza symptoms

oral osentamivir or inhaled zanamivir twice a day for 5 days
