60s - Mods and rockers - driven by consumerism
60s- skinheads- evolved from mods

Music that showed rebellion e.g. rock and roll, Britpop in the 60s and punk during the 70s.

The baby boom, end of national service, more time spent in school, growth of mass media, more young people in employment/with money, growth of consumerism.

BBC- middle class and ITV was more working class.
