Q

AO3 evaluation of Hazan and Shaver’s love quiz

A
  • questionnaire = socially desirable answers
  • retrospective data (looking into he past) can lack accuracy
  • people can’t self report on things they were unaware of in their own childhood
  • good sample size
  • good age range, but the old people may add to the problem of retrospective data

Q

AO3 evaluation of the influence of early attachment

A
  • causation ? Just because there is an association does not mean there is an established cause and effect
  • most studies use questionnaire or interview which are self report (socially desirable answers)
  • retrospective data can be unreliable
  • internal working model is unconscious which means we can only assess what people can consciously describe, we only get a partial picture
