E-social media will put out points to influence you opinion about specific partys, political partys will also put ads on your TV to try and “vote” or “go their way” they try influence the public to be very opinion based
E- for example, SNP put out an advert with mary black on it whom is the youngest MP ever the purpose was to try and attract young people’s votes
P-another method used by the media is front page headlines.
E- these are very helpful to political parties because they are used to draw your attention too them and it makes you want to keep reading, like if you see an article half way through your not going to want to read it because its not a priority
E- for example, borris johnson had a party during high peaks of covid times this was frontpage headlines of alot of magazines forcing him, to quit

(3 PEE)
P- one argument that the media is influential is they organise debates
E-TV broadcasts often happen with leaders of political parties to try and encourage and in fluence people to take part in certain things. those broadcasts have to ask unbiased questions to the leaders and make unbiased debate.
E-for example political partys had a debate on how some people wanted a second referendum
P-another argument that the media is influential is they uncover scandals

E- mainly print and new media are powerful enough to put pressure on the government to change different policys.
E-for example, daily record had a very big thing that was about the decriminalisation of drugs, and they only wanted the use of drugs to help with health issues only.
methods used by trade unions
P-one method used by trade unions is working to rule
E-this is when people choose to only carry out the bare minimum work, the tasks that are what they are supposed to do and them only, the people who do working to rule also dont do overtime or help out extra
E-for example, many police officers have used the working to rule method because the cant just go on strike or take time off because they are important in the society.
P-another method used by trade unions is strike
E-this is when people completely take time off of work to kind of “protest” in a way this gets the governments attention making what those people want to come true
E- for example, across the UK many train drivers have stopped working because they want a higher rise, this is leaving lots of the public stuck for getting to and from places
P- a final method used by trade unions are voting in ballots
E-this allows further desicion about things and situations that may have occured, it also helps make an equal vote so then it is fair
