A
Uniaxial synovial pivot between convex lower head of ulna and concave ulnar notch of distal radius
Distal end articulates with ∆ fibrocartilaginous intra-articular disc attached to lat side of root of ulna styloid process and inf margin of ulnar notch of radius

Capsule
A
Weak and loose fibrous capsule formed by transverse bands of fibres attached to ant/post margins of ulnar notch of radius and corresponding areas on ulna:
- inf bands blend with ant/post edges of disc
- sup remain separate
Synovial membrane extends above capsule between radius and ulna ant to IOM
