Difference between infectious and non infectious

A

Infectious: A disease caused by an infectious agent. The agent is external to the body.
Eg. Munching on ham and getting tapeworms giving u taeniasis

Non-Infectious: A disease caused by an internal imbalance within the body.
Eg. Genetic conditions, Cancer, Heart disease.

A

The number of people that one infected person will [ass on a virus to on average.

When the R value is less than 1 the disease will slow down.

Pan - wide spread / world wide outbreak of infectious disease
