mild illness; pathogen in network vessels (collaterals)

stronger illness; pathogen in the channels
Vein distinct into Life Bar:
severe illness; pathogen in zang fu organs
Vein extends to fingertip:
critical condition; pathogen in zang fu organs
Normal refill of vein (quickly and smoothly):
normal or deficiency pattern
Stagnated refill of vein (slowly or unsmoothly):
excess patterns: phlegm, damp, food stagnation, blood stagnation
