What is behaviour modification ?
This is where certain behaviours are aimed to be strengthened such as no fighting, keeping to yourself.
If this is done you get rewarded with things like phone calls and shorter sentences
It’s usually done for those in prison so they can realise the good values in society
It can make people change for the better it influences them to be the best they can be
Token economy is involved
Strengths and weaknesses of behaviour modification
Strengths
1. Teach wold values
2. Teach prisoners the basic norms turning them from reoffending
3. Keep prisoners in line
Weaknesses
1. Make prisoners rely on it
2. If they don’t get it they’ll be disappointed leading to aggression
3. Biased
What is physchoanalysis ?
This can compare to Freud
And it focusses on identifying and releasing repressed feelings thoughts memories and desires impacting your life.
The goal is to make you conscious off off the unconscious bringing positive changes to your life and growth
Techniques like free association and transference anaylsis are used

1. Clearly explains the process of solving conflict arising from childhood
2. Help people understand the unconscious
3. Focusses on getting rid of the negative es in life

1. Expensive
2. Doesn’t provide long term solution to problems faced at
