Individual Differences In Behavior Learning Flashcards
evidence for individual differences
effecting behaviour
bandora
Bandora acknowledged that individual differences was a factor in his bobo dog studies in 1961 to 1965 as the children may have had privia experiences that meant that they were more aggressive than the other children this meant that they may have shown more aggression during room 3 of the experiment where they were attacking the bobo doll
This is evidence supporting the role of individual differences in behavior
how infivisual difference effects behaviour (list)
past experiences differ
perception of reward ( money to a rich man is not the same as money to a poor man)
Types of models observed ( perceived power and relevance in the eyes of the Observer)
Learning ability
People differ due to environmental influences such as different patterns of reward
and
Different behaviour being observed that leads to a different patterns of behaviour
Gender development links to the learning theory
Reinforcement
By using continuous reinforcement each time agenda specific behaviour is shown e.g kurtzing a rewards such as praise or more extremely food is given this is when motivation to repeat this response
The role of gender with behaviour shaping
When a complex behavior is learnt through rewarding behavior stages that lead up to that behavior
In this case for example liking speed and cars and playing with the toy car would get praise as this eventually leads up to the stereotypical guy who likes cars gender stereotype
Gender in modelling for social learning theory
People are more likely to imitate behaviour from a model of the same sex
This is evidence in bandora’s 1961 bobo dolls as boys were more aggressive when imitating the aggressive male model than when imitating the aggressive female model
