Banned industries from India so they couldn’t manufacture anything.
Made India reliant on Britain for manufactured goods.

A political ethicist who nonviolently fought for India’s freedom.
How did British rule affect India after independence?
The British split India into three different countries (India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh)
The process was very rushed and was determined by the Muslim and Hindu demographic.
This caused a divide between the countries and an influx in migration.
> since India was originally very mixed of Hindus and Muslims, many people fled across the border to the other country the fit their religion.
