What is independence?
A
When an individuals decision making is not swayed by the groups expectations. They ignore the group in order to arrive at their own objective decision.

What is Anti-Conformity?
A
Deliberate refusal to comply with social norms. Not a genuine attempt to express one’s ideas of perception. Comes from a desire to be stubborn and rebellious.

What does “playing devils advocate” mean?
A
To actively argue against the points of group members even we you agree and share the same belief.

Benefits of devils advocate?
A
Allows groups members to think alternatively and allow them to challenge proposed ideas.
