Commercial farms are farms that are run as a business, they can produce food on a large scale and sell the food for a profit.

Increased food production means that generally people have enough food to eat. There is now a wider range of food, people have healthier, more balanced diets.
Food production has increased and it is widely believed that there is enough food in the world to feel all of the people. Why do so many people still go hungry each day?
Even though here is more food being produced, it doesn’t benefit all people equally. There is enough food for everyone, but the problem is getting the food to the people.
People that live in places with bad infrastructure and transport links cannot access the food that is produced so the increase in food production does not actually benefit them.
In what kind of countries is food access a big problem?
For people in war-torn countries, access to food is an even greater problem.
