Inclusive, Enabling And Visionary Leaderhsip Flashcards
What is being collaborative
Ensuring and improving the safety and well-being of the public underpins all of our work
To achieve this most effectively we need to look further to create the best possible outcomes
We build genuine and lost lasting partnerships that focus on collective aims and not just our own
It includes building good relationships with other public and third sector providers, reaching out to private organisations and working with our communities
We aim to share skills, knowledge and insights with each other to achieve the best possible results
Not only does it help achieve joint solutions, it helps share appropriate information and negotiate new ways of proving a service together
We make sure they feel respected and valued
Why is it important to be collaborative
Demands on police come from a diverse set of sources
We must work together regardless of differing cultures, priorities and needs
This means we need to influence and negotiate in order to achieve outcomes for everyone instead of our own
Working without partners ignores the strengths that we can have together
Working together requires ability to build good relationships and break down barriers
It’s critical for us to build and retain partner trust and confidence in us and this is achieved by the way in which we work with others
