What did slavers do to slaves when they arrived?
They cleaned them up with water, palm oil and grey hair was dyed black so it looked younger. This were done in order they looked healthy instead of ill.
How were slaves sold?
Private treaty-treaty before hand
Scramble-when dealers agreed in a price for each slave. These were arranged in a pack and the planter would go grabbing the ones they thought were better. Families were separated.
Public auction-refers to the sale of slaves in a public that kept bidding until one reached the highest amount of money to keep it.
Refused-the left out.

It was a languages used to communicate both with slaves and owners. It is based on African and European words and African grammar.
What did slaves do by themselves?
Their own music
Formed new kinds of relationship(shipmates and godparents)
Use their own traditional medicine that usually worked better than European’s
What were the two main works on the plantations?
Field labourers and domestic labourers
