Strengths of A of C
National post office, fixed weights and measures system, departments of war and finance, equal power among states, land ordinances
Weaknesses of A of C
Lack of power and money (couldn’t get taxes or enforce laws), Lack of central central power (no single leader, no national court system), Rules too rigid (9/13 states had to agree to pass laws, to change Articles all 13 colonies had to agree)
Pros of Constitution
Equal and population based representation, executive branch, unity of the nation etc, strong national gov
Cons of Constitution
Gives national gov too much power, no bill of rights to guarantee civil liberties, vagueness of the implied powers decree, favors wealthy over poor
