Delegation
Overseeing overall care of patient; includes ensuring that other members of the team and those involved with patient and family show return demonstration of care.
Supervisory intervention
Done with other members of the health team.
Coordinationg interventions
Examples of coordinating interventions:
- Referral to other health care
- Self-help group
- Home health agencies
The use of communication skills, relief of spiritual distress, and caring behavior and comfort.
Supportive interventions
Exploring feelings; focus on resolving emotional, psychological, or social problems.
Psychosocial interventions
Retains certain state of health, preventing complication or deterioration of physical and psychological functioning and preserving independence.
Maintenance interventions
Maintenance interventions include:
- Basic hygiene
- Skin care
- Other routine nursing activities
Include detecting changes from baseline data and recognizing abnormal responses.

- Frequent checking of VS
- Detecting odors
