When to use the imperfect tense.
To describe scenarios where
1. One was/ were doing something
2. To say what people used to do or what things used to be like
3. To describe repeated or continuous actions in the past
3. To say you would do something in the past
4. To describe the weather in the past
5. To describe what something or someone was like in the past
6. Frequently used with phrases that describe how often something used to happen eg, regularmente (regularly), a veces (sometimes), cada día/todos los días (every day), generalmente (usually), etc.
Conjugate hablar in the imperfect tense.
yo hablaba
tú hablabas
él/ella/Ud. hablaba
nosotros hablábamos
vosotros hablabais
ellos/ellas/Uds. hablaban
Conjugate comer in the imperfect tense.
yo comía
tú comías
él/ella/Ud. comía
nosotros comíamos
vosotros comíais
