- He took Beirut and Sidon
FAILURES:
- Al-Adil swiftly took Jaffa upon hearing of the crusade
- Bohemond of Antioch lost his gains of Latakia & Jabala to muslims

Due to so many Germans being ill –> this hospital then took on military character and became the Hospital of St. Mary of Teutons of Jerusalem
